5 ways you can be a blessing to others

Hello my beautiful people and welcome back to the blog! I'm so happy you're here. I've been thinking about serving lately and what it means to be a blessing to others. But truth is, it doesn't take much to make someone's day. Being a blessing to others does not have to include any form of finances. Sometimes being a blessing can mean just giving someone your undivided attention.
That's already too much of an intro. Let's dive in shall we? Here are 5 ways you can be a blessing to others.
# 1 - Send an encouraging text/ call someone
When's the last time you called your mom or dad. How long has it been since you checked up on your grandma? What about a church member that was going through a difficult time? It doesn't take much to pick up your phone and call someone. If it's even five minutes. Those five minutes can make someone's day.
# 2 - Share a meal with someone.
Are you meal planning for next week? Great! Schedule a day where you can make extra's to share with a family. It doesn't have to mean you invite them over, you can bring the dish to your neighbors house or maybe you know of a person who's a new mom. Cooked meals helps out a ton in this area. You know what else can help out?
# 3 - Offering to watch a friend's children for the evening.
I didn't know how much this could make someone's day. To me it was just a few hours and I loved children anyway but to them those few hours were like a breath of fresh air. Don't get me wrong children are a blessing and no they are not a burden but date nights aren't a bad thing. A few hours for the couple to spend time with each other does not hurt. That doesn't mean they don't love their child/children.
# 4 - Return shopping carts to the cart receptacles
It takes two minutes to scan your area and return a cart. One of my pet peeves is when people leave their carts in the middle of the parking lot and then say "It's their job". Job or not it's rude. Please, if you don't do so already, return your cart and if you see someone else's cart on the way return theirs too.
# 5 - Volunteer
Want to bless people? Give them your time. Time is one of the most valuable things we have been blessed with but it's also something that is easily wasted. You can volunteer to help out at a food bank, nursing home, pet shelter, local libraries, health related centers....or you can simply ask someone like a family member "How can I help you today?" Then help them.
In conclusion...
There are many more ways you can be a blessing to others I just wanted to list a few that I personally practice myself. Thank you for sticking it out with me today. I love each and every one of you but most importantly, Jesus loves you. See you guys next week.
Bible Verse (KJV)
