Daily Habits That Will Improve Your Life

Hello my beautiful people and welcome back to the blog. I'm so happy you're here. Today we're going to focus on three habits that will improve your everyday life. I myself practice these habits on a daily basis so without further a do, let's dive in.

# 1 - Waking up early

Okay so you've probably heard of this more than a few times but this cannot be anymore true especially as a homemaker that has limited time to do what I love, and that's homemaking. If you don't know by now I am a full time high school student so eight hours of my day is already gone to studies. Then there's moments where I have to help my mom, etc...blah blah blah and I don't have time to do things I want to do especially when it comes to my home. Go to bed as early as you can and get in the habit of waking up early. You don't have time for God? Make time. Get up 30 minutes earlier and dedicate that time to Christ. Want to knock out a few more chores a day? Stop scrolling on your phone and go to bed at night. I talk about the Proverbs 31 woman all the time and one of the things she DID NOT do was waste time (Proverbs 31:27). Yes take some time for yourself but try not to be a time waster. Now this is not something I am 100% perfect at but I do aim to go to bed as early as possible so I can get what I call a head start to my day the next morning.

# 2 - Time with the Lord

As a woman who is passionate about her faith this really should be number one but I felt like this would be an easier transition especially since time is one of the main reasons people lack in their relationship with God. I'm a huge believer that our time with God should not be rushed but unfortunately reality says otherwise. So you're a new mom or maybe you're mommy to a couple of toddlers, I get it, sleep time is precious. I'm not asking you to loose sleep, I'm asking you to prioritize your time with God. When I started my homemaking journey is when I truly begun to notice how important my time with the Lord is. It is Him I get my strength from, It is because of Him that I am able to do the tasks I have to face daily. So I need to run to Him on a DAILY basis. I am dependent on Him every single day. Instead of watching TV listen to the audio bible. Instead of online shopping spend sometime in prayer. Order of importance ladies. Order. of. importance. (Imagine me clapping after each word lol)

# 3 - Limiting our screen time

Okay I am guilty as charged for this one. Y'all this is so embarrassing but it has to be said. 9 hours a day. Read that again. You never know how much time you have until you take a look at your screen time. That used to be what my time would look like. To be fair, I am a"social media influencer" and school is technologically based not to mention this blog + extra writing but I finally came to the point where enough was enough and I basically had to force myself to put my phone down and take back control of my life. . You can get so much done. For all my girls (or guys) that are school students and get bored in class or have a few extra minutes of "free time" in class. Use that time to catch up on other school work or even better, do your homework. "But I don't have homework" okay brush up on your skills. Read something, write something, have a conversation with your neighbor. Our screens steal so much of our lives that we forget how to talk with someone. Isn't that crazy?! If you're out of school take the time to learn a new hobby or even better, serve someone! Going back to # 2, you can spend time with the Lord. There's so much you can do instead of giving your screens your time. (Stay tuned for next week's blog)

In Conclusion...

This was a tad bit longer than I thought it would be but if you made it this far thank you for sticking it out with me today! I love each and every one of you but most importantly, Jesus loves you.

Until next time sweet friends,

Ruth <3

Bible verse

Proverbs 18:9 - He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.
