May Our Homes Be A Light

Hello sweet friends. It has been a minute since I last hopped on here to chat with you.

If you have been paying attention to the news lately or have just been simply living it seems like everything has just been chaos after chaos. From natural disasters, to school shootings, suicide rates, persecution, hate, etc...

The world has always been dark but I feel like metaphorically speaking is got a shade or two darker and when you look around and you see all that is happening you may feel fearful. I know I have. I tend to get so afraid.

As I was reading through Scripture I came along the verse in John 14:27 it says “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”

And oh what a time it is to be a Christian. Though the world may hate us what a joy it is to know that we have Christ.

Friends, nothing surprises God. God is sovereign He sees and He knows what is happening and even what's gonna happen. In times like these when it feels as if our fear/anxiety is going to cripple us we can cling to Jesus knowing that He has got His children. While we may not know every single detail about how everything ends we do know that Christ wins.

So keep doing what you're doing. There are dishes to be washed, meals to make, laundry to fold, flowers to plant (or cut), treats to bake, etc... Not that we're being ignorant of what's going on but also not paralyzed by fear either. While the world gets darker and darker may our homes be a light.

Cling to Jesus friends. He's got you I promise. Feel free to let me know down below in the comments or an email about how I could be praying for you. And if you just wanna share a highlight of your week down below (keep scrolling after reading the comment section is there I promise) I’d love to hear.

Have a great week friends. Be on the lookout for a few of my favorites from the month of March and I'll see ya next time.

Matthew 5:14 -  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
